Gillig Phantom Bus    1953 - 1979
Advantages - light weight means better fuel mileage, typically inexpensive compared to MCI's or Prevost conversion shells, 56" wide rear door, wide doors with 36" front aisle width maximize accessibility for handicapped passengers, uses smaller standard size tires for lower cost and inventory, light-weight high-strength aluminum alloy skins, stainless steel under-floor structure
Disadvantages - monocoque construction means it is NOT recommended for raised roof or slide out installations

Advantages - It's a hybrid model and is good on fuel which saves the buyer money. It comes with the option of being combined with the BRT styling packages which makes it more desirable. It is quieter, more fuel efficient and is the most reliable of other buses.

Notes - available in 30 foot, 35 foot and 40 foot versions, it is very fuel efficient, has a GM's drive system and NiMH batteries that store braking energy.

Gillig BRT Bus
Advantages - There are stylish features added to the Low Floor base vehicle, which improved the appearance in a big way but working parts on the bus are untouched. These features include a re-designed front cap, which combines a one piece windshield and quarter triangular windows, new headlights and matching taillights, dash, bumper and rear cap. Are available in Hybrid variants for an economic impact.

Notes - available in 30 foot, 35 foot and 40 foot versions, the remaining standard specs are the same as the standard GILLIG Low Floor 30', 35', and 40' models.
